Whispers of the wind ch. 24

The next day,

as Bird woke up she soon recognized where she was, she had fallen asleep at Dorian's place.

And..

she could also partly recall her drunken behaviour from last night. She remembered dancing at Dorian's

bed...

She had clearly had too many drinks..

"Well good morning, how are you feeling?"

Bird could soon hear Dorian's voice from behind her and as she turned around she saw him in front of her.

B="G-good..About last night..."

"You were a bit drunk, and somehow ended up sleeping here,

it's okay, it was fun, really.." Dorian said with a smile.

Fun? For some reason, Bird felt awkward about her behaviour. Her lipstick was all over her cheek,

Dorian smiled before he walked closer to Bird and grabbed her face.

B="D-Dorian?.."

"You know..

you're really funny.." he said then while smiling

an holding Bird's cheeks, who was a bit startled by it..

Even when Bird got home, she was still thinking of Dorian's words

and last night,

and as she saw her face from the mirror she really

wondered why he didn't tell her she looked like that,

He was definitely teasing her... Just like he sometimes did..

Later in the afternoon, Dorian was outside playing

basket ball. It was still a hobby for him, even though he didn't play professionally anymore.

"Well, you seem to be feeling fine.." Yaz noted as she had arrived

D="Yeah, I'm feeling good. What about you? You never showed up.."

Y="Yeah, I know.. Bf problems, sorry. I hope you had fun still. How was it?"

D="It was cool.."

Y=" I heard from Bird, she had a bit too many drinks.."

D="Yeah hahah"

Y="So what happened? She told me she was here for the night.."

D="Well, she was drunk so of course I let her sleep here, what else?"

Y="Oh is that so, nothing else? You still keeping those feelings to yourself little brother,

silly you..."

"I..I'm not.."

Dorian answered timidly.

"Oh boy with you..." Yaz smiled,

even though he was only a few years younger, he really was not that experienced when

it came to women, well actually cause he had not been interested in anyone before, not until he met Bird and actually he had liked her from the beginning, even though she was completely oblivious to it...

A YEAR AGO:

"The view is really great, isn't it?"

Yaz asked when she approached Bird who was looking outside.

"Yes, it's really beautiful.." Bird answered

Y="It's great that you could come with us here, actually

I haven't been here in many years.."

Y="We used to come here a lot when we were kids, but now that our parents

are gone, it's been many years.."

They owned the resort even though they rarely went there anymore. It's was their parents' legacy. It was a half da trip to the ski inn at the Mount White where they had traveled for the

weekend.

Also, Dorian & Ebi tagged along.

"What's on your mind?"

Dorian asked as he had noticed Ebi staring outside for a while already..

E="Nothing.."

D="Are you sure?"

E="What are you hinting..?"

"Nothing, I think it's good you're here, it's good fo you since you recently broke up with Mia.." Dorian said,

meaning Ebi's ex-girlfriend.

E="I'd like if you didn't mention her, and I wasn't thinking of her--"

"Okay then, whatever you say.." Dorian said then, as he leaned back on the sofa.

They were childhood friends so they knew each other pretty well and Dorian knew that the break up had been hard for Ebi, even though he didn't want to admit it. Ebi was not much of talker especially about of his own feelings, unlike Dorian who was quite open and honest to others, so they were different but they

also had grown together so they had a bond & were good friends, and also they knew they could trust each other....

In the afternoon the group was planning to go to snowboarding & Ebi, Dorian, Yaz were outside having a chat..

"Maybe we should make a little competition, for old times what do you say?"

Ebi noted

"Well sure, why not, let's see how rusty you are.." Dorian answered

E="Hahaha, I think you're the one who should be worried.."

D="How are you so sure?"

"Well I'm sure I can still beat you both even though I haven't

been on the board for years.." Yaz noted then with a smile

"Yeah? We'll see about that.." Ebi continued when he noticed Bird

who had finally come out.

"You're all here already.." Bird noted.

"Yeah, we've been here for 15 minutes already.." Ebi said

when also Yaz & Dorian noticed Bird.

B="Oh, you were waiting for me...Sorry, I wasn't sure what to put on &

now I feel like my outfit is not good."

You look absolutely great, now let's go!" Yaz said while smiling.

Ebi, Yaz & Dorian still had their skills when it came to snowboarding,

Bird, on the other hand...

had no experience so she was shy to even try it, but because of the pressure she had to try and she only tried it once, and the outcome was that she fell down on her butt..

And of course Yaz and Dorian were there watching her and couldn't hold their laugh.

B="I knew it wasn't good at this.."

"Well, there's a first time for everything hey, practice makes perfect."

Yaz said

"I don't think I want to try again, and what's so funny anyway?" Bird said

with a little bit frustrated face

as she noticed that Dorian was

also looking at her with a smile on his face

"You did good.." he said, but Bird still felt a little bit frustrated and actually

it was cause it really wasn't her thing and she knew she was not good and then they

were laughing, but she didn't know it wasn't because she lacked the skills,

 it was because she was cute, very..

Even in the evening,

Dorian was still thinking of Bird's expression from before & it brought a smile on his face.

B="What's so funny anyway?"

She was so cute.

"What are you smiling at?"

Dorian was caught by Ebi who came into the kitchen.

D="Huhh? N-n-nothing..."

E="Nothing?"

"I don't think that was nothing, actually I'm pretty sure what

it's about, but snap out of it for a while and

go to the sauna, it's your turn.." Ebi said then

and Dorian nodded without saying a word. Ebi also knew him too well.

As Dorian got outside,

he wasn't prepared to what was coming.

and neither was Bird

as they stood outside looking at each other.....
