Whispers of the wind ch. 25

Bird and Dorian looked at each other surprised as they met outside when Dorian was on his way to the sauna, because Ebi had told him it was free...

He had no idea, that Bird would be there and she was really surprised too because she had just

gotten out of the hot spring and naturally, she was wearing her bikins only and she felt

embarrassed the moment she saw Dorian.

"I..I was.." she tried to explain,

but she didn't have to because Dorian said "Sorry, I didn't know you were

here..."

& as Bird lifted her head up she saw that Dorian had

turned around, not looking at her,

just like back then...

That moment came into her mind.

A memory that was from faraway felt suddenly closer than ever as she stood there for awhile. As if

she was living that moment again,

 but with someone else..

"Did you sleep well?"

Yaz asked the next morning when she saw Bird in the kitchen.

B="Yeah I slept alright, I just have a little

headache, so I think I need caffeine.."

Y="Well you came right in the time, I just made coffee. Drink and have a breakfast, then let's head outside hiking with the boys. "

When Bird came outside,

she saw Dorian & of course she was reminded

of last night,

Dorian wasn't going to say anything, but Bird did, she wasn't really shy in those moments, it had been an awkward moment for her,

but she didn't really want to be awkward about it

anymore so she said:

B="About last night.."

D="I really didn't know you were there, if I did I wouldn't have.."

B="It's okay, just forget it..Ok? It's not a big deal."

"Ok-ay.." Dorian answered as he still felt a bit awkward,

but as the day continued, they forgot all about it. They went hiking and after that to the local restaurant to eat and the time just flew by and they had a lot of fun, Bird really enjoyed the day..

But the next evening,

the nightmares woke her up again..

She had them every now and then, and sometimes they were so scary that

she was afraid of sleeping again, just like this time...

Dorian was awake also,

and he noticed Bird standing outside in the middle of the night.

It was silent all around and she thought of Tera.

Even though she didn't really remember ever seeing him smiling,

in her dreams he did and those dreams always made her feel calm,

but also sad.

She could only hope that he was alright. He had to be..

"Can't sleep?" Dorian asked as he had also come outside.

B="I..Had a bad dream, I thought a fresh air would be good, being inside felt suffocating.."

"Me too, for some reason, can't sleep." Dorian said

D="These nightmares, you have them often?"

B="Sometimes.."

D="I had nightmares too, a lot, after my mother died, sometimes I couldn't

seperate them from reality. I think losing someone important feels like a nightmare."

B="Yes."

D="It's been soon 5 years, but it still feels like it was yesterday."

B="Do you miss her?."

D="Every day...but.."

D="I also love her still the same. I believe she's there watching over me.."

"Even though I can't see her, I feel her..I think important people will always stay in

our hearts.."

Dorian said.

Bird kept listening to him with tears in her eyes,

his words made her sad but also relieved at the same time, because he was confirming something she had wondered by herself, that it was okay for her to miss someone

she could not be with. Someone very important to her, still.

"It's a bit chilly, I think we should go..." Dorian continued when

suddenly Bird stopped him by grabbing his arm and she gently leaned towards him

"..Just stay for..Awhile.." Bird weeped silently

and even though Dorian

was surprised

he didn't move.

Bird didn't want to go upstairs because she was still a bit upset of her dream earlier

but as soon as they sat down, she fell

a sleep

and leaned towards Dorian whose heart beated quite fast.

Already back then, she made his heart flutter..

ON THE NIGHT OF THE PARTY:

Bird was dancing on the bed without a care in the world while Dorian was watching her.

D="Be careful will you.."

B="Haha, don't worry, I'll be alright."

D="You've had too many drinks, I'm afraid you'll fall.."

"Even if I do, you would catch me right?"

 Bird laughed and she didn't really stop spinning.

D="Well.."

B="I might be a bit too heavy though.."

"Be careful now please.." Dorian said

"Yes, sir, I'll be a good girl, so come here, let's have fun.." Bird said as Dorian turned around

"I'm going to take a shower, you should rest ok, I'll sleep on the sofa.." Dorian said

"We can sleep together, don't be silly...I will wait for you then!" Bird said while she was

sitting on the bed

After the shower, Dorian just leaned towards the sink and sighed cause he

didn't know how to face Bird

but..

when he got to the bedroom, he saw her laying on the bed asleep.

& about that he was actually relieved, because he really didn't know what to do with her.

She had somehow managed to change her dress into his shirt, She was really something.

He moved her a bit so that she wouldn't fall from the bed,

when she suddenly grabbed his hand mumbling "Don't go..."

B="Pl-ease..don't go..."

B="Please, Ter-a.."

"It's okay..Everything is okay, you dont' have to worry.." Dorian answered even though

he wasn't sure what she meant

& then he gently kissed her on the cheek as her hold of his arm started to loosen.
