"No, please, PLEASE!!!!" Bird pleaded.

She shouted from the top of her lungs when all of her nightmares had turned into a reality once again in a blink of an eye.

But Horos just smirked.

H="Ahh, that sound is really thrilling, the sound of your misery..

though you definitely deserve it, Birdy. "

"This is just the start though, I won't let you go that easily.." he continued and was about to approach Bird..

when....

suddenly he was attacked..

by "Tera.." Bird recognized him immediately, but she ran outside as fast as she could when she realized that Horos couldn't get to her now.

B="Dorian!"

B="Dorian please..."

"Dorian" she shouted touching his face,

trying to get a reaction from him,

but....

it didn't work.

B="Dorian, please!!"

"Wake up, please!"

Bird cried while she put her arms around him.

B="Please, please, open your eyes.."

B="Dorian...

don't leave me!!"

"Dori-an.. " Bird's voice broke down as she couldn't shake

him, and she didn't really feel his breathing.

"Dori-an.." Bird kept repeating silently, even though he

didn't answer....

While at same time Terabithia finally destroyed Horos with his

powers that were now greater

than ever.

There was nothing left of Horos.

Nothing.

The pouring rain just kept going on...

Still Bird kept staying beside Dorian

and soon, Tera came outside.

"He's not breathing..

I can't hear his pulse anym-ore...

I can't h-ear him..

I can't..

It's un-fair..

so unfair..

Wh-y?

Why?..

WHY!?" Bird shouted as she put her head

on Dorian's lap.

B="I'm so-rry, please, pl-ease.."

"I can't live without you.." Bird kept crying

as Tera who stood beside her kept listening to

her, while tears fell down on his cheeks as well.

B="It's all my fault, it should've been me.."

B="why?"

B="why?.."

B="Dorian..."

B="What a-m I... g-oing to d-o?"

Suddenly Tera reached his hand up to the sky..

and then....

All Bird could see for a while was white.....

And then...

she was in a room,

alone..

No, there was someone with her....

That someone was...

"Tera? Where am I?..Is this a dream?" Bird asked as she just saw

him standing there in front of her but he was not looking at her.

She thought that it was him, though his hair was grey again...

B="Where are we?

&She knew for sure it was him when she heard his voice.

T="Once, you wanted to go back in time..

If it was possible now,

would you do it?

If you could go back in time before all the pain

and hurt you experienced happened,

would you want to do that

now?"

B="What.. do you mean?"

T="You have to choose Bird."

B="I.."

Despite the hurt...There were many people

she had met along the way and they remained in her heart.

"I'm really grateful for all the people I've met, and if going back in

time means that I'd forget everyone..." Bird said silently,

as she kept thinking of..

Dorian.

She thought about him more than others and she also knew why.

He was the kindest person in her world.

The person who gave so much love without really demanding it back.

The person with so much patience and warmth. Honesty. She had never imagined that she would meet someone like that, and that someone like him would love her. But he did. He had shown that to her many times.

To go back in time and to forget everything meant that she would forget him too. Forget all their memories, his smile, his soft voice. Just everything about that person would go away..

It felt impossible.

It tightened Bird's heart. Though she did remember the time that she really had wished that she could forget everything. Time had passed and there was not bad without the good.

Dorian was the good.

Bird realized that for the past years she had been happy.

With him.

He came to her world when she was barely living, afraid of her past and he made her see that there could be light.

He gave her peace, safety, a home and a family.

Even though she didn't know it then,

she knew now..

That she loved him. She really loved him.

And she didn't want to forget him, ever.

"No.. I can't go back anymore. I have to go to.. Dorian.. He's there alone in the cold..I have to go to him.."

Bird said as she would've rather lived in the pain of losing Dorian than forget all about him just to have a new beginning.

T="So it is then. Just wanted to be sure..

your heart has chosen him..

as it should be.

This is my last gift to you, I just want you to be happy..

"I'm sorry.." Bird said and then..

she opened her eyes and realized that

she was in bed, at home and the sun was shining..

&for a moment she was flabbergasted that what all that was..

But soon she remembered..

what had happened, to Dorian..

her heart was in a slump..

but then...

she could see him..

outside.

She wasn't sure was it a dream, but as she saw him there, she just

ran to him with all her speed.

"Dorian!" she weeped as she reached him.

"Well, what is it, babe?" Dorian asked while Bird just leaned on him and cried.

B="Dorian.."

D="You had a bad dream again?"

"I thought, I l-ost you.." Bird cried.

B="I was so afraid.."

"Feel this?" Dorian said as he turned around to hug Bird.

He caressed her hair gently.

D="It was a bad dream.."

D="I'm right here, I'm not going anywhere."

Still..

Bird had to touch Dorian's face,

his nose,

lips,

everything.

B="It's really you.."

"Yes, it is, honey, I'm right here for you. So stop crying.."

Dorian said and he smiled.

Bird then hugged him tightly again.

B="I love you."

"I love you, Dorian." Bird said as she felt very

peaceful in his arms again and she was never

going to hide her feelings from him.

"I love you too." he answered.

Bird felt happy. After everything, she really had found her

home in his arms.

He was her safe haven.
