Whispers of the wind ch. 5

*thump thump thump*

Bird's pulse was loud as she kept looking at Tera while they

were laying on the floor, she had blushed quite a lot because of the situation

she had not planned.

The moment was intense, something Bird was not used to and she

did not know what to say.

All in all it was a really a short moment and soon Tera got up and Bird followed him.

"I will not fight you my lady, I am sorry, but I will not hurt you even if you ask me to." Tera said with his calm tone of voice.

Bird just kept looking at him, not completely understanding him. Also her head was still in that moment, her heart still felt restless.

She did not completely understand that feeling inside of her, it was new to her but somehow she felt like she had felt that feeling before. She just didn't remember when and how. However, just standing there looking at him made her feel more restless and the only thing in that moment she could do was....

To kiss him.

And so she did, she pressed her lips against his.

"That's what you get for not listening me."

"You better not tell about this to anyone."

Bird said after she turned around, of course Tera did not answer.

He just stood there for a moment after she left.

Later in the evening, it seemed like rain was coming, the clouds were filling up the sky,

Bird was in her room, looking outside.

Something was on her mind, something she had not told anyone. She was going to leave....

"She is gone? How is that possible?"

Kaius asked later in the night when he had arrived

to the apartment and he was looking at Birds picture on the wall.

"How can she be gone, when she should be watched over all the time??" Kaius sighed

and soon turned around

and he looked at Tera, it was obvious he was furious, his eyes turned red when he was looking at him.

"How she can be gone when you're

supposed to be with her all the time? HUH?!"

Kaius yelled while he pressed his foot against Tera's face. The other Masks were just standing there. Well, there was not anything they could do. And it was Tera's fault after all. He was the only one there.

"I told you to stay close to her at all times!"

" She should not be far, also, she

does not know how to travel in the city..

so bring her back immediately or you are done for good." Kaius said, as he was

not going to go after her himself.

"Yes, sir." Tera said and bowed to him & the others did the same.

Soon after, Tera went to Bird's room.

He was looking outside the window, it was raining, when Lome also came to the room asking "If you're going to find her, shouldn't you be going already?"

Tera turned around looking at Lome.

"I don't know what part you play in this, but you do know what happens to her if someone else finds her first?" Lome noted as and he seemed like he had his suspicions, but Tera didn't confirm anything.

The rain had stopped soon as Bird was walking in the city.

She did not really know where she was going, but she didn't really want to go back. The problem was; she didn't know the city so she really had a hard time knowing which way she should go to get away, far away from that monster. She knew there was no turning around now, she had also left without telling anyone. Well, how could have she told Tera? Even though she had felt somehow close to him, he was still working for that monster. And Bird was sick of that cage. So she wanted to break free, and it was really nice outside. It was really beautiful, she really loved the fresh air and she stopped walking to look at the beautiful river in front of her.

She didn't notice that someone had been following her,

that someone being Horos who could smell her from miles away. He kept looking

at her and his eyes were glowing red,

it was time for a meal.

As the night was getting darker, Horos had dragged his prey, Bird, to a silent place in the woods and he enjoyed her tasty blood while filling her with his poison, sucking

the life out of her.

She really didn't have any way to defend herself because

she had no powers like that.

She was a human, Horos was not.

And because of that he had an excellent hearing so he knew exactly when someone was approaching them,

that someone being Tera who stood right across from Horos as he lifted his head.

"Oh, well well, just when I was having fun."

"Let go of her."

Tera said while Horos kept staring at him, he had his arms around Bird whose skin was affected by the poison already.

"Well look who's here again interrupting my pleasure, what a bore." Horos answered as he let go of Bird who fell into the floor.

"This one's good, you don't want to have a taste? I think I already got enough of her. " Horos snickered as he wiped his lips.

Tera didn't say anything, he just looked at Horos silently.

"mmm, well I guess you are little late to the party, though she was no match for me really." Horos bragged.

"You should've been here earlier...."

He couldn't finish as suddenly Tera grabbed him by the neck and lifted him up.

"What the h-elll...A-are...y-o-u" Horos stuttered as Tera

strangled him even harder so he could not speak.

"You idiot, yo-u think you can...." Horos tried to fight back but once again Tera put more pressure on his neck

and once he was unconscious Tera threw him away without a hesitation, and he immediately turned around to see Bird who was laying on the floor still..

He grabbed Bird into his arms.

Her pulse was weak but her heart was still beating..

"You should take her back to Kaius now."

Tera heard Lome's voice from behind as he lifted Bird into his arms.

"Did you hear me?" Lome asked as Tera had not answered.

"It's poison, I do not have much time." Tera noted.

"You know what will happen if you do not get her back to Kaius now.." Lome said, as of course Tera did know.

"I won't let her die." Tera said as he got up with Bird still in his arms.

"You're starting a war you can never win."

With hearing Lome's words, Tera still left and Lome just stood in the quiet room for awhile.

He knew that now Kaius was after Bird and also Tera and when he found him, he would kill him...
