Whispers of the wind ch. 29

Bird was at the starbucks and..

she was thinking about last weekend again, about Dorian.

For some reason,

she just couldn't help it. She kept worrying for him.

However..

"Bird?"

she heard a familiar voice that interrupted her thoughts. "Bird, is that really you?" That voice; she recognized it right away and as she turned her head she saw

B="Kaur?"

"Oh dear what a coincidence.." Kaur said as she ran to Bird embracing her.

"Bird, I've missed you so much!

How are you?" Kaur weeped

"I'm f-fine.." Bird answered while still a bit surprised of the situation

"Really, it's good to see you." Kaur said.

"You too." Bird answered as she closed her eyes.

and they just stayed like that for awhile.

"I thought something happened to you, since

I never heard of you after you left."

Kaur said as they had been standing outside for awhile talking.

B="I'm sorry, it's a long story.."

K="It's fine, I'm just glad to know you're okay,

so you live here now?"

B="Yes.For a few years now."

K="I guess you won't be coming back to Luana?"

B="I don't think so, but I've thought about you a lot, how's Naomi?"

K="She's great, she misses you a lot too.."

B="And..."

B="Rajiv?"

K="Rajiv? The last time I saw him was a year ago, he moved away

sometime after you left, he's quite famous nowadays you know?"

B="Ohh, I didn't know..."

K="I think you gave him inspiration to his songs, I mean he was really hurt

after you left, but he got over it eventually & now he's somewhere around

the world.."

"Oh, well that's good, he was really talented.." Bird noted

"I'm glad that he's doing good now, after everything. I really didn't

mean to hurt him, back then but I did.." Bird continued as memories of Rajiv came to her mind.

K="Yeah, I know dear, it's been many years now you shouldn't

worry yourself so much about it, but I have his number if you want to contact him.."

"I don't think it's a good idea, I don't want to remind of the past, I'm just

happy to know he's doing well.." Bird answered, it all had happened such a long time

ago and Bird didn't want to cause any more harm to him. It hall had ended quite bad way, but it was good that he was alive, after everything.

B="But how about you kaur? Why are you here?"

K="Ohh, actually I'm just visiting here for the weekend,

because of my boyfriend.."

B="B-boyfriend? You have a boyfriend?"

K="Yes, actually....."

Y="Well hello, how's my little brother doing today?"

"Hey Yaz, wait a moment." Dorian said and closed the computer.

Y="You're really here doing assignments at this hour?"

D="Well, I have to prepare for the exam.."

Y="You'll get in any way.."

D="Oh, you're sure about that?"

Y="Sure as hell, you're the wisest person I know.."

D="Hhaha, ok, but I still need to study.."

Y="Are you feeling better?"

D="Yeah sure, thanks for taking care of me the other night.."

Y="What do you mean?"

D="I mean the food you left, it wasn't you...?

"No I didn't? Dear brother, you know that I can't really cook so what are you talking about...?" Yaz noted and that got Dorian thinking.

At evening he visited Ebi at the night club "Pryxz" where he

was working.

D="You look quite handsome in that outfit!"

E="Hehe, you're funny, maybe you should try it too."

D="No, I mean for real, this place looks cool, I think people

like to come here."

E="Yes, but I'm actually surprised you came..."

D="Well, I'm just stopping by."

E="There's a techno band playing later in the night, maybe check that out?"

D="Nahh, just came to see you and I'll go to the gym later.. But, how's it going, other

than this?"

E="Well the usual, & you? Have you heard of..."

Ebi stopped as he noticed that Dorian was looking at behind of him without words

and he turned around

"her...I guess you have now.."

Ebi noted as he saw Bird standing behind of them, Dorian's attention was captured by her. What a coincidence.

There she was & she looked beautiful, as always.

Bird was there because Kaur invited her, her boyfriend

Martin was playing at the band called "Fast line".

 Kaur looked really happy and that made Bird happy also.

K="We were thinking of getting a few drinks later tonight,

you should come too.."

K="After the gig, so we can catch up more."

"Okay.:)" Bird answered even though she was planning to leave soon, she felt bad, it was her friend she had not seen in years. She didn't want to be rude.

"You should forget about her.." Ebi said when he was having a smoke outside and Dorian

was accompanying him.

E="Or are you going to wait for her to change her mind forever?"

E="It's my business really.."

E="Come on man, just forget her, she's not worth it.."

D="You don't know her.."

E="Well I know a lot more about women than you and I'm telling

you that this way you will only hurt yourself in the end so forget it.."

D="But I think she cares about me too.."

E="How so?"

D="I told you, I'm sure she was at my place the other night and had made me breakfast

when I was sick because it wasn't Yaz & surely not you.."

E="Oh that, well okay..."

"But didn't she tell you to kind of leave her alone before

that..?" Ebi noted and Dorian sighed.

E="Okay, mate, she probably does care for you, like a brother, like a family

that's why she brings you food when you are sick and worries about you, right?

And she does it in secret because she doesn't want you to misunderstand her..

I mean she already rejected you didn't she?"

E="So give up man. You know, for your own good."

E="I know it may be hard since you've never had feelings for anyone,

but there's plenty of women in the world. Better than her."

Maybe he was right. Maybe not.

Bird went to the bathroom then she just

stayed upstairs for a while, it was more quiet there.

she had seen Dorian earlier downstairs with another girl she didn't know and she didn't

know what they talked about, but for some reason she

kept thinking about it,

she didn't know why it made her

feel uneasy, she was also not feeling good among all those

people, they made her feel anxious, so she was planning to go home,

when..

"Well hello gorgeous.."

she heard an unfamiliar voice and as she turned around she saw an unfamiliar face, a guy she had not met before stood before her with a smirk on his face

"How's your night going?"

"You look lonely, do you want me to keep you company?"

He continued while Bird turned her head away

saying quietly "No.."

"Sorry what? I couldn't hear you, are you shy?

You surely do not look shy.." the guy continued

as he gazed at Bird's chest and it made her feel

very uncomfortable.

"Hmm, how about we leave here and I'll give you

some good time, you like good time right?"

"No, please, go away..:" Bird said silently

"Sorry, what? I can't hear what you say cause you mumble dear?"

"She said go away."

Dorian said and as Bird heard his voice

and saw him standing behind them.

& at that moment, instantly, seeing him

made her feel relieved.

B="D-D-Dorian.."
