Whispers of the wind ch. 27

Dorian walked Bird home, and she had been quiet on the way.

"I was thinking maybe you want to go to lunch tomorrow or something?" Dorian asked

with a smile, as they arrived to Bird's house.

D="I mean if you have time.."

"No." Bird answered, she had a very serious look on her face.

D="Okay, some other day mayb.."

B="No, I don't think that is a good idea.."

"Stop doing this.." Bird said as she turned her face away from Drorian, wiping the smile off his face.

D="What do you mean?"

B="All of it, Dorian."

D="If this is about last time,

I just wanted to let you know how I feel, but I apologize, I didn't want to make you upset...."

B="You like me?"

B="It makes me feel uncomfortable.

You're my friends brother, that's all."

B="So...Stop being nice to me, stop liking me,

stop walking me home, just stop all of it

and stop bothering me."

Bird said before she left inside

and she left Dorian standing there, for awhile he just couldn't move.

Even later in the night, he was still thinking about it,

Bird's sudden cold behaviour,

to him,

she was mystery,

he knew that there

was a lot about her that he didn't know yet,

and just when he thought he could get closer to know her

even a little bit,

"Stop being nice to me, stop liking me,

stop walking me home, just stop all of it

and stop bothering me."

she got farther away,

& there was really not much he could do. He had made her upset because of his confession. Clearly, the outcome was as he expected, his feelings were unrequited, that he already knew, but her upset expression, that was what bothered him more.

A MONTH LATER

Bird had her usual yoga practice at the gym &

after that she headed to the starbucks close by.

she was completely zoning off while waiting her order,

her mind went to Dorian,

to last week,

it was the last time she had seen him since she had told him not to bother her. She wasn't sure why, but she just couldn't stop thinking of him & how he was doing..

she was deep in her thoughts when..
