Whispers of the wind ch. 14

Kaur's birthday celebration continued till the night & the girls; Kaur & Bird & Naomi

went to dance club in the near city because Kaur really felt like dancing.

The boys had planned to go too, but Enzo was a bit too drunk so Rajiv

ended up walking his friend home.

N="You know you are really a mystery Birdie, there's always

something new I find out about you."

B="You mean the violin?"

N="Yep, why you kept it a secret?"

B= "It's not a secret really, I guess we just never talked about it.."

"I guess so, we seem to know so little of you, since you don't talk

about yourself much..You know, we are your friends and you can

always talk to us, about everything." Naomi said, she seemed always

quite cheerful, a lot different from Bird.

Bird had a past she had not really shared to anyone there, she felt as if if she had told about

her life before, they would have thought bad of her or started to

dislike her, so she had figured not to tell them. It was better that way.

"I hope you know that." Naomi continued

"I..I.. do."

Bird answered even though she knew she was not able to tell Naomi about her past.

N="Well that's good, now let's go to dance isn't it why we

came here for?...I will buy something drink first & where's

our birthday girl? "

"She wanted to go for a smoke, I'll go check.." Bird said

but when she went outside, she was shocked....

when she saw that Kaur had been attacked by a vampire,

Bird recognized those creatures as she had been living with them for years

and that vampire could hear her

as she let go of Kaur

who fell to the grown unconcious.

The vampire looked at Bird,

"Oh, another one...This seems like a better one.." she said,with a monstrous voice and her red eyes gave Bird the chills.

"Why are you crying? Don't be afraid, it won't hurt much.."

The vampire said

"I'm still hungry.." the vampire continued

"I'd like to taste you."

and she

suddenly let out a monstrous shriek

and Bird fell on the ground terrified

"Pl-e-ase.." Bird weeped,

when suddenly....

"Stop." she heard a familiar voice,

and as she looked up she could see,

it was "T-te-ra?" she thought to herself, she could barely see him,

but

it was him.

it was really him.

Bird felt a feeling of a relief before everything went completely blank...

"Oh well well, look who's here.. "

The vampire noted

"You know you shouldn't interrupt me as it's my meal time. Don't make me your enemy."

T="You are an enemy. Doing hideous things like this."

"Hideous, it's only natural, and besides I'm only doing what I'm told to.."

T= "Who sent you here?"

"Who? I don't think I have to tell you that, whoever it is, is exactly

after what you're trying to protect here and I will send them a message."

"Well then, let's make the message loud and clear."

Tera said as he

suddenly grabbed the vampire from the neck, choking her

"This is no place for creatures like you."

Bird was laying on the ground unconcious

as Tera walked to her,

he looked at her for awhile without saying anything,

and soon he lift her up in his arms.

& As Bird wake up, she still had tears in her eyes.

She felt dizzy still, and suddenly she could recall what had happened,

Kaur's birthday, the club,

the vampire, Tera and then nothing...

It surely did happen, but how was she there now? In her room..

"Finally you're up.."

Bird was surprised to hear a familiar voice

and as she turned around she saw Kaur standing there.

"You..."

K="We tried to wake you earlier but we couldn't.. How much did you drink last night?"

"You..You're okay?" Bird asked

she couldn't believe what she saw because it was just a moment ago when she saw Kaur being attacked.

K="Yep, I don't think I drank that much though, but somehow I don't remember

anything from last night..We went to a club, Naomi said so but then

she said that we left her there without telling her and I woke up here...Do

you remember what happened?"

"I...am not sure....my head feels dizzy, but... I'm glad you're okay."

Bird sighed as Kaur looked at her and wondered what she meant by that.

Somehow Kaur's memory had been erased..Was it because of Tera? Did he do that?

And who was that vampire exactly? Was it after her really?

Bird didn't know what to think. But she had to find out somehow, what really was going on....

A FEW DAYS LATER:

Bird had been thinking of the recent events and she was up to big decisions.

She was worried for the safety of the people there and Tera had told her

that the only choice to protect them was probably for her to leave.

So she had decided that she would go, at least for a little while,

even though she was maybe never able to return.

It seemed to be the only

way though and now...

she had to tell him that also.

And it wouldn't be easy.

Bird said goodbye to Naomi

who had hugged her while she said "You will be back some day, right? I'll be waiting.

It's been nice sharing the house with you."

"You t-too.." Bird answered a bit shy.

"Call me some time Birdie.."

"I-I will.." Bird answered even though she wasn't sure was it really possible.

N= "I'm going to miss you."

Bird wasn't sure about a lot of things. Lately, her head had been a mess.

She knew that she would have not been able to stay that place forever, but somehow

leaving now seemed sooner than she had thought. Anyway, it seemed to be the only right way. She heard someone walking behind of her and she actually knew who it was

before she turned around.

She had asked to meet him.

Terabithia.

And there he was standing, looking calm as ever, as she turned around.

B="Hey..."

T="Are you ready?"

"I..Actually, there's still a few things I need to do before." Bird answered

while she looked at Tera, who seemed to look back at her but she wasn't sure

cause he had those sunglasses on.

"If that's okay...?"

T="Of course."

K="You're leaving quite suddenly.."

B="Only for some time. "

K="So when you'll be back?"

B="I don't know..Yet."

K="I'm a bit disappointed, that you didn't tell me earlier.."

B="It's because I...I didn't know, sorry.."

"Ah, you take everything way too seriously. No need to be. I understand, I wish you a safe travel

and I'll see you again." Kaur said then with a smile.

K="And take care of yourself."

"You too." Bird answered.

It started to rain as Bird approached Rajiv

who knew instantly

it was her and he got a feeling the purpose for her visit was not good.

"What is it?" He asked as he turned to face her.

"I came to tell you that I am leaving Luana.." Bird answered after a while.

R="Where?"

B="I can't tell you."

R="Is that so? You know I got the feeling you would say something like that...

Is it because of the guy you cried after?"

B="W..What do you mean?"

R="I saw you..In the studio, the day I was performing there. You were outside..With that guy,,, who is he?"

B="He is just...someone I know.."

R= "Someone..And now you're leaving with him? Why? He seems to be more than just someone you know..."

B="I..It's a long story..."

R="Well I didn't think you would tell me, after all that's how this has been

with us..I know nothing of you really and it's getting frustrating..."

B="Some day...I'll tell you."

R="That some day won't come."

Rajiv noted then as Bird turned around to leave.

"Right?" He asked while Bird was looking at him, unable to answer, it's like he knew it was possible.

"Please take care of yourself." Bird said then

"If you go now, it's over between us."

Rajiv said as Bird was going to leave, but his words made her stop.

R="if you walk out of that door, I never want to see you again."

R="I mean it."

he continued as Bird just stood there. Not asnwering, she knew that he was serious. She knew this was a place and a person she could maybe never return to.

Tera was waiting outside with an umbrella when Bird came outside.

She stood there for a bit when Tera turned around, not saying a word.

"Are you ready?" Tera asked

"Yes. Let's go." Bird answered and as she was about to leave

"Don't go."

Bird heard Rajiv's voice behind her

and also Tera took a note of that.

"Please don't go." Rajiv said again as a tear fell down his cheek.

"Please Bird..."

"I have to." Bird answered and her eyes also got teary,

but she still walked away. She had to.

Rajiv was watching her

as she soon disppeared from his sight.

"This seems to be all your fault, who the hell are you?"

Rajiv asked then as Tera was still standing there,

but he didn't say anything at first.

R="I asked who the hell are you?"

T="You don't do anything with that information."

R="Maybe not, but I'm still curious to know who is this a**hole

to take away the woman I love?"

T="You have no idea about anything really, do you?"

"I guess you don't really know the woman you love.." Tera answered

with his calm voice.

"And you do then?" Rajiv scoffed

"Consider yourself lucky,

I could have killed you but I'm keeping you alive

because of her." Tera answered

and he turned around to leave

"And yes, I do know her better than you ever will." he said before he left

While Rajiv was left there alone, standing

"F**k" he cursed, hopelessly.

Sul sul! I have an IMPORTANT announcement to make. So, due to lack of time for updating the story on time and personal reasons, WOTW is going on hiatus.
