"It has happened before.." Anira said as they were talking outside Tera's room later about what happened to him.

B="I-s..it s-erious..?"

A= "Well it's hard to say, It may be some kind of

curse that he's not able to use his powers."

B="Curse...Bu-t ho-w,,,wh-o??"

A="Well, it seems like it but I'm not completely sure..."

Could it be....

Kaius?

As Tera woke up

soon he felt something very warm on his hand.

& as he lift his head up

he could see that Bird was sleeping beside him,

her warm cheek pressed against his hand.

For a moment Tera just looked at her....

& he went outside

he just stood there for awhile.

& he looked at the dark sky above.

"I guess you're feeling better now."

Neri said as she walked beside Tera.

N="It was supposed to rain tonight, but nothing..."

N="You think bringing that girl here was a good idea?"

N="So what's your plan with her? You're trying to save her from the

monster who's after her and also you.."

T="He doesn't know about me.."

N="Yet. So what are you going to do? He's going to find out eventually,

he's already searching for her.."

N="I don't think you can get far no matter how much you try,

that girl...Is no good.."

"I didn't think you would agree." Tera sighed

N="I do not. Humans are never good news.

You shouldn't have brought her here."

THE NEXT DAY

"You're causing more harm to Tera

now that you're here..

You said that you don't want to him to get hurt,

but still you're using him to protect someone else?

Hasn't he done enough for you already?"

Bird was recalling Neri's words.

Some of her words were probably right, but not all of them.

Like Bird using him, it wasn't like that.

Bird never wanted to hurt him, never.

She heard someone approaching her and she could recognize the footsteps,

as she turned around she saw Tera again.

B="How..Are..you?? A-a-are you okay?"

T="I'm alright. Don't worry."

B="How could I not worry?..I.."

T="Because there's much more important things for you to do, my lady.."

B="I heard from Anira, that it might be a curse, is it... curable?.."

T="It's nothing, I'm alright.."

B="I'm...I'm sorry, it's because of me right?"

"It has nothing to do with you."

Tera said as he turned around to leave.

B="But...Kaius is after me..It has everything to do with me..I'm the reason

all of this is happening.."

T="Do not worry. I will figure something out, I will stop Kaius somehow

and after that you can return to your life in the island, there's a lot

of people waiting for you.."

B="An-d you?"

"I'll be fine, my lady.."

Tera answered after a moment silence

& he left the room.

But Bird felt like what he said wasn't true & she was very worried.

Bird played a sad tune with the violin again.

She played the same tune over and over again.

& As Tera found her later, she was sleeping on the table.

Tera couldn't know what she was dreaming of, but he saw the tear in her eye.

he knew it wasn't a good dream.

He looked at her for a while silently again

& then he carried her to her bed.

She didn't wake up from that, she surely was in a deep sleep.

As Tera laid her on the bed, he stopped to look at her once again,

his eyes wandering from her eyes to her lips...

As he went outside he sighed.

"What exactly are you thinking? You have no right."

he thought to himself and shook away his thoughts that he

had about her

when...

he suddenly felt the pain again in his body

and it brought him to his knees,

and his eye turned red again,

the pain was staggering

& it seemed to only get worse..

SOME DAYS AGO:

Rajiv was standing on the beach, looking at the ocean..

He had not been able to sleep well for the past weeks..

He couldn't stop thinking about Bird, how she had left & no word since.

Nothing.

Only..

"You again.."

Rajiv noted as he heard Tera walking beside him.

R="You keep coming here, but it's not you I really want to see.."

"Did you hear me?" Rajiv asked then as he turned around to look at Terabithia who stood there

calmly as always.

R="Why are you here?"

T="Just checking up on you."

R="Well, where is she?"

T="If you mean lady Bird, she is alright.."

R="Lady? And who are you exactly? What are you two?"

"What's your relationship with her?"

Tera turned to look at Rajiv who was getting emotional.

R="She never talked about you, actually she never talked about anyone.. But I could see that you must mean something to her, I never saw her cry like that before..The night at the club, I saw you two..

So what's your story..?"

T="The story is long and difficult for you to understand."

R="Well try me.."

t="She will tell you herself if she wants to, I'm not in a position to do that.."

R="I'm just trying to understand the situation, you coming

here and taking her away."

T="I did not take her away, she left with her own will. I would

never force her. I'm only trying to keep her safe."

R="Why?

Because you love her?..Is that it?"

"Yes."

T= "But if you think that she left the island because of me, you're very much mistaken."

R="Then why did she leave?"

"To protect you." Tera answered before he left

& Rajiv was alone again.

"Protect me? What's that nonsense?" he thought to himself

as tear fell down on his cheek.

He really didn't understand the situation.
