Whispers of the wind ch. 22

K="Well, look who we have here.."

K="It seems you're still alive, by some miracle.."

T="Where is she? Where is lady Bird?"

K="It's none of your business really..."

K="You were foolish enough to betray me and steal her from me back then, but it won't happen again.."

T="What did you do to her?"

K="You really don't listen do you, but it doesn't matter..."

"You can't do anything now anyway..." Kaius noted

& Horos attacked Tera from behind,

while Kaius kept watching them.

but..

Tera fought back.

Even if he didn't have the same powers as before,

he still wouldn't let Horos beat him.

"That's enough."

Kaius said then.

"I asked you where is she?" Tera asked as he stood up.

"This is your last chance." Tera continued with a serious tone.

"Last chance?" Kaius scoffed

"You dare to threaten me, you are quite brazen, but... you shouldn't, I'm warning you.." he continued

while they gazed each other intensely.

K="In this state you're in, you're really no match for me so why do you keep

testing me?..."

Kaius asked

he was choking Tera who really couldn't do much since Kaius was more powerful than him, it was true.

K="Your powers are non-existent compared to mine right now...

how does it feel knowing that I could easily end you for good?"

"Stop!"

Kaius heard Bird's voice

"Please.." she continued

and soon his eyes returned back to normal.

&Kaius let go of Tera who fell down to the floor.

"I could kill you,

but that would be too easy,

so I won't do it.."

He said before he stepped aside.

Tera got up from the floor,

tears fell down on his cheeks,

he wasn't able to stop them.

Soon Bird walked closer to him.

And as he lift up his head she was standing there

right in front of him.

"I'm.."

she started

B="I'm really sorry."

B="It's all because of me, I'm sorry."

"Please, do not try to look for me again." she continued

"ever."

T="But my lady.."

"You

have to let me go now.." Bird wept.

But then, Tera embraced her.

& at that same instant,

a flashback

of them

came to her mind

She knew it was real.

"I can't...Let you..go, my lady.." Tera said as he hugged her even tighter

"I can't.."

"You have to.." Bird answered silently

Horos, Kaius & Lome kept watching them.

Bird slowly walked away from Tera, while her heart

felt like it was sinking

but...

she still took those steps towards Kaius

and ended up by his side..

"That's it then. We won't be seeing you again." Kaius said

& Bird kept looking at Tera who stood there.

her heart was in a great pain, but..

there was no other way...

She could still remember clearly the moment she saw him for the first time & all the moments after that..

How he was there for her

how he had protected her many times,

even to the point that he got hurt.

He had done so much for her already,

now it was her time to protect him,

even if

it meant that they could never

meet again,

even if he would've hated her, it didn't

matter.

She could not let him get hurt anymore, or anyone else.

It was their destiny, doomed destiny.

"I'm sorry. Forgive me."

Bird thought to herself as she took a last look at Tera before she left with Kaius and the room was empty.

"Goodbye"

After Bird was gone,

Tera still kept looking at the empty space beside him.

"Well well..It seems like a happy end.."

"For some.."

Horos scoffed before he left also.

L="I told you back then didn't I?"

L="It's a game you will never win.."

L="Last time, you almost died because you tried to fight him and save her...

But this time, it's different.."

L="If you're still thinking of going after them, it's really the end for you.."

L="and her too, so stop now, let it go for your own good and hers."

"She's the reason you're alive now,

you should be thankful for that &

let her go."

Lome said before he left.

Let her go?

It felt impossible.

The sky was turning dark as Tera was standing outside looking at the wide sea in front of him..

He kept standing there until it was dark.

and then...

he noticed that it started snowing.

Huge snowflakes falling from the sky

and then..

he saw her

standing beside him

she didn't say anything

of course not,

as she was not really there,

it was a projection of his mind,

he imagined her there

& she there she was, admiring the snowfall.

While he kept looking at her,

even though he didn't see her face clearly,

tears fell down on his cheeks again.

And soon he was all alone again, snow still kept falling

reminding

of the memories that were getting farther and farther away,

delivering a sad message

to him:

It was really goodbye.
